• OVERVIEW AND MISSION

    Marin Alumni Network for Equity and Inclusion is a comprehensive network for alumni of HS 1327 and Marin to support the students, staff, and surrounding community and in becoming actively anti-racist and creating a more welcoming learning environment for all. We are committed to working with students, staff, administration, and the Tamalpais Union High School District to be catalysts for action, accountability, equity, and inclusion.

    We aim to aide HS 1327 and Marin in:

    1.

    Holding administrators and district accountable for recruiting, hiring, and retaining BIPOC educators.

    2.

    Staff, school board, and substitute accountability and training.

    3.

    Coast Miwok land acknowledgment and its integration into school events.

    4.

    Teaching through a lens of equity and anti-racism while straying from the “white narrative”.

    5.

    Supporting administrators in creating and enforcing a district-wide disciplinary protocol for students and staff who engage in racist behaviors.
